This is a FULLY EMBROIDED patch with velcro backing 10 X 10 cm. The fall of "the Berlin Wall" in 1989 and the collapse of the Eastern Bloc brought an end to the Cold War. This had far-reaching consequences for the military organization. One of the consequences was the departure of the Americans and the eventual evacuation of Soesterberg Air Base. On the American part of the airbase, many Dutch soldiers and civilians worked together with the members of the 32TFS. During the command transfer in 1994, Camp New Amsterdam was transferred back to the Dutch. Many memerobilia, emblems, t-shirts and other trinkets then found their way to lovers of the "Wolfhounds". One of the many traditions for an F-15 eagle unit is to have a so-called "eagle driver" patch. This is our impression of what the Wolfhound Eagle Driver patch would have looked like. The patch has been produced in the original 32 TFS colours and has a real "retro" look and feel to it.
